Trial Purchase Error FAQ

If one of your members is getting the error "You already purchased a free trial for this pass" when trying to buy one of your pricing plans that has a trial period, this means that the user has already purchased a membership that included a free trial in the past.
This validation exists to prevent the abuse of trial periods by members. By only allowing a customer to use one trial period for each pass, Whop ensures that a customer doesn't enter a loop of using trials without ever enrolling in a paid membership.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to remove this validation since it's adopted by Whop and it's applicable to all companies operating on the platform.
You will need to send your customer a link for a pricing option that doesn't include a trial period.
You can keep all the remaining setup of your previous plan.
In the new pass, you will be able to create a new pricing option with a free trial period that now your member will be able to claim.
