Dispute Tips

There is no guaranteed method to winning disputes but we have compiled a couple of tips that may assist you the next time you get a dispute from a customer.

  1. Provide screenshots of the user being active in your server

  • Providing screenshots of the user's activity in your discord server will show that they are aware of being in your discord server and are currently using their membership to chat or partake in your membership's utility.

  • You can always prove the user's identity by showing the discord associated with the membership info if the customer that is making the chargeback.

2. Showing proof of your TOS and Refund policy posted

  • In the settings tab of your Whop dash there is a tab called "Legal". Here you will be able to upload legal documents that will be posted for users to read at the bottom of the checkout screen

3. Providing logs of cancelation

  • When a member cancels their subscription you will receive a log in their member log page stating that the subscription was set to cancel at the end of the billing period. Another log will follow stating that the member cancelled their subscription.

4. Use Whop's built in dispute manager

  • We have created a dispute manager within the payments page of your Whop dash. Whop fights disputes for you automatically by uploading information like payment logs, member details, and applicable information. However you must still manually submit the dispute for review to stripe.

  • You can easily manage multiple disputes and upload necessary information straight from your Whop Dash.
